In defence of Eden Park...well actually in defence of Auckland...ok really what I'm trying to say is this: We couldn't build that stadium.
Dallas' stadium is publicly funded (unlike California, check out what's happening to the 49ers), is on the convergence of a bunch of highways and it's HUGE and so couldn't be put anywhere in downtown Auckland.
It is also nowhere near downtown Dallas, in fact it's in Arlington.
